A grassroots project by seven women in the Webster County area has resulted in more than 100 baby blankets and quilts for families served by the Webster County Health Department. Led by quilters Bev Buske and her daughter Karen Barkley, the project was inspired by a conversation with the health department's interim director, Dr. Kelli Wallace. The women worked together to create the "Kelli kids quilts" to keep children warm and provide them with something special during their visits to the health department.
