The Ministry of Railways has launched the Amrit Bharat Express, connecting Berhampur in Odisha to Udhna in Surat, Gujarat. The weekly train will cover a distance of 1,708 kilometres, stopping at major junctions and commercial halts to benefit passengers from several districts in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train alongside the unveiling of other railway projects in Odisha, including a five-kilometre flyover in Sambalpur.

A deadly airstrike by the Pakistan Air Force in the Matre Dara village of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken the lives of 30 civilians, including women and children. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the redeveloped Tripura Sundari Temple Complex, one of the 51 revered Shaktipeethas, in Udaipur, Tripura.
